  • Part Name: Output Seal
  • Function: Sits in the lower unit's bearing carrier on the propeller shaft to form a high-pressure barrier, keeping gear lubricant inside while blocking saltwater from destroying the gears.
  • Maintenance: Milky transmission fluid or water intrusion during an oil change indicates failure. Requires 2 output seals installed back-to-back per lower leg assembly to form a proper watertight seal.
